Starting Time Sponsors Canadian Golfmax Program

The Canadian National Golf Owners Association has introduced the Golfmax Program to help bring more kids into golf.  Starting Time, as the exclusive distributor of My mini Golf, is now proud to announce their membership with the NGCOA as a new sponsor of this program.

Take a Kid to the Course starts off July 10 with hundreds of courses already registered. Any junior golfer between the ages 6 to 18, accompanied by an adult, can play for free at over 638 member courses. Hugh Penton, President of Starting Time, is especially pleased to help in sponsoring this junior golf program. It is a way to get more kids into golf on some of the finest courses in the world. Canadian golfing is one of that nation's most popular sports. Because it is portable, My mini Golf is a great activity indoors during the colder winter months.

My mini Golf is now assembled and shipped from Canada, helping to make it more affordable and faster to obtain. In addition to the use as a fun kid’s activity, it also is a great teaching aid, which can be used by golf instructors to help their younger players in mastering the complexities of putting.  Practice is never a dull or boring task as new "courses" can be laid out as the students and instructors work on improving their skills which will carry over to the course itself.

Starting Time (also known as Starting Time Golf) has now found that members of the NGCOA also plan to use the sets for Fund Raising and club Social Activities too. Penton says that they can increase the "Fun Factor "for both golfers and non-golfers alike during social events. The club can set up a complete 9 hole course in the clubhouse if wished. This works for fund-raising as well. Even chipping contests can become part of the event. Some clubs have found that the sets have more than paid for themselves at each of these club events.
