Golf Road Warriors Storm Scottsdale, Again

Intrepid Journalists Stage Return Engagement, Vow to Leave No Golf Balls Behind

(Portland, Ore.) – Golf Media Network and The A Position.com concludes its Golf Road Warriors program for 2012 with a return visit to Scottsdale—described as “the world’s finest golf destination,” and site of a December 2011 visit.  Golf Road Warriors is an interactive multi-platform golf adventure in which four journalists and a videographer create and broadcast daily original content via a collection of websites and social media that is further disseminated by sponsor partners.  The content includes short travelogues, videos, and reviews of courses, restaurants, and other attractions, as well as the observations of a team of seasoned golf journalists.

Writers participating in this edition of Golf Road Warriors include Las Vegas radio and television personality Dennis Silvers; California writer Jay Stuller; Jeff Wallach, Founder and Executive Editor of The A Position; and Tom Harack, one of the most widely-traveled golf writers on the planet.  The writers will play golf courses including Talking Stick, The Phoenician, Kierland Golf Club, SunRidge Canyon, and The Raven Phoenix Golf Club; get fit for new sticks at Cool Clubs; hope for improvement at a Jim McLean golf clinic; and take on hiking and culinary challenges. Their exploits will be captured on film by award-winning videographer and producer Jamie McWilliams.

Sponsors for the trip include the Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, the official destination marketing partner for the city; The Antigua Group, a leader of genuine golf, sport and lifestyle apparel, which will provide daily ‘uniforms’ for the writers; Hemispheres Magazine, the award-winning in-flight publication of United Airlines; and the Salute Military Golf Association, providing rehabilitative golf experiences for wounded veterans.  Several wounded veterans will join the writers for golf en route.
