Martin Golf Apparel Readies Spring 2013 Collections, First Delivery Set for Nov. 15

Spring line is inspired by the French Riviera, and Costa del Sol, Spain

(Dallas, TX) - Golf industry icon Rick Martin, who returned to the golf industry in 2011 with his new company, Martin Golf Apparel, is pleased to announce Martin Golf Apparel's new spring 2013 collection.

The collection will be offered over a span of four deliveries, with the first offering of the collection scheduled for delivery Nov. 15.

In keeping with Martin's longtime philosophy of creating apparel that's both traditional and timeless, the spring 2013 collection will continue the company's focus on natural fibers.

"Our 100% Peruvian Pima Cotton is made of long-stapled mercerized yarn and the Baruffa Merino wool is the highest quality yarn from Italy," says Martin.

The Spring 2013 color palettes were insprired by
the French Riviera and Costa del Sol, Spain.

The spring '13 collection presents an incredible depth of natural colors across two distinct color palettes, Riviera and Costa Del Sol, that will be offered throughout all four deliveries.

"One of the fundamental philosophies that I have developed over a lifetime of experience in the apparel business, is choosing colors that complement and flatter a variety of skin tones," says Rick Martin.

The beautiful and bright Riviera color grouping, named after the legendary French Riviera, elevate the senses with an abundance and variety of vibrant colors: Aquatic Lapis blue, brilliant Carmine red, soothing Aqua and Turquoise, gleaming Lime and Tangerine are in full form with Sunflower complimenting the subtle Iris.

The soft and elegant Costa del Sol palette introduces a group of pastels that were inspired by white sand beaches with soft sweeping vistas above winding cobbled streets and pastel colored facades in the southernmost part of the Spain - Andalusia: Light Blue skies and the glistening Maize yellow sun shines 300 days a year.   Stretches of Lime grass, and Melon, Pink and Orchid wildflowers complete the landscape.

"One of the beauties, about the breadth of color that we offer in shirts, is that we compliment it with layering pieces such as a multi-functioning/colored sweater that ties back to every color and shirt in the palette," says Martin.

Sweaters are frontloaded in the early deliveries to carry the golfer over from season to season. Early spring is a great time to wear a long sleeve Classic Merino v-neck sweater, while the Merino windvest allows a layering look and cool weather barrier that is closer to the body without the bulk.

New for 2013 is the Men's Popover Shirt
Spring '13 also introduces an updated classic style - the woven popover sports shirt, a look that is casual when worn as a stand-alone piece, or can be dressed up with a cardigan or a navy blazer.

"The popover is a classic 50 year old traditional model for the discerning gentleman, and will be very much part of our future" says Martin, "A Martin Golf popover is the perfect casual sports shirt to wear off course after a round of golf."

The interest in Martin Golf woven shirts was so great, that delivery was accelerated to the pro shops. Offered in a men's club stripe in the Riviera color palette for the first delivery, the popover is set to be a best-seller this season.

Other notable styles include the Solid Royal Oxford long sleeve button down and the Palm Cove Stripe lisle polo, both styles offered in the Costa del Sol color palette.

"Martin Golf Apparel will always be about quality. Our goal is, and will always be to produce a garment that stands out. The members continue to gravitate towards our quality, natural fibers, and style that is Timeless As The Game," says Martin.

To ensure that Martin Golf Apparel reaches a select customer base of discerning golfers, these collections - like all Martin Golf Apparel - is sold exclusively at golf clubs.
