iStar Financial, Billy Casper Golf Extend Magnolia Green Golf Club Partnership

(VIENNA, VA) - Billy Casper Golf (BCG) and iStar Financial have extended their partnership for BCG to continue managing Magnolia Green Golf Club (formerly Westham Golf Club) in Moseley, VA just outside Richmond.

Directed by BCG since it opened as a nine-hole course in 2010, the daily-fee club set amid the nearly 2,000-acre, master-planned Magnolia Green community will soon unveil 18 holes, all crafted by Nicklaus Design in association with Tom Clark.

Complementing the par-72, 7,150-yard layout is a comprehensive practice facility with a triple-tier driving range, fairway bunkers, massive putting green and short game area scheduled to open soon.  Plans are to build a spectacular clubhouse ideal for social outings.

Among BGC successes are the doubling of annual members each of the past two years and "The Green Card" that, for $100 (or $55 for seniors over 55), rewards golfers with a free round, loyalty points and discounts on greens fees and pro shop merchandise the more they play.

The club's competitive "Winter Tournament Series" has drawn hundreds of local golfers while Women on Course events provide participants with golf and social networking activities.

"The sky is the limit for Magnolia Green Golf Club," says Tom Page, Vice President of iStar Financial, owner of Magnolia Green.  "BCG is key to Magnolia Green becoming Central Virginia's premier active lifestyle community."

"We treat everyone the way we want to be treated - with respect and integrity," says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG.  "Led by General Manager Bobby Kidder, our team works hard to ensure every step of the guest journey is enjoyable and well worth repeat play."

With a Carolinas feel, the golf course is characterized by wide fairways, short rough and well-guarded, greens which ensure bark and benevolence for players of all abilities.  Among its memorable holes are the reverse Redan-style par-3 No. 3 enticing players to aim left and use the slope to guide tee shots onto the green.  The long par-4 No. 18 provides a dramatic finish as golfers face a nerve-wrecking, downhill approach to an undulated green.

Less than 25 miles southwest of the state capital, Magnolia Green Golf Club is the centerpiece of Magnolia Green, the region's best-selling community.   It features a wide selection of townhomes, single-family and custom-built residences from just under $200,000 to $1 million.  An array of parks and hiking trails, swimming pools, sports courts and playing fields create an all-inclusive lifestyle for active adults and families alike.
