Turf Life Now Accepting Nominations for its September 2016 Servin' Turf Award

(Winter Springs, FL) - Turf Life, the brand that salutes the consumer and industry "players" everywhere whose lives involve turf, announced today that they are now accepting nominations for their Servin' Turf Award for September 2016.

The Servin' Turf Award (a word play on Surf & Turf) honors and celebrates a Turf Industry Professional, Facility or Organization that has gone above and beyond to create and/or maintain an outstanding and sustainable turf environment. The award is presented each month.

In August the Servin' Turf Award was presented to Mirimichi Green.

Mirimichi Green offers products and services for businesses striving to be cost effective while being environmentally responsible. Their history is growing turf in poor soils. Their goal is to rebuild the soil and then curb the effort it takes to maintain professional landscapes. Using a life-cycle-cost approach, they have developed a series of industry-specific offerings that provide solutions, which are affordable, practical, and adhere to the quality associated with the brand.

Their products and services are designed to uphold the following standards:
- Be effective and sustainable
- Help further the green transition
- Offer a bridge to more responsible methods
- Educate consumers
- Help consumers set reasonable goals for their own sustainable practices
- Make good quality sustainable products easily accessible to the average consumer
- A pledge to reinvest back into our communities and environment

"Turf is an essential part of the world," said Terrie Purdum, Founding Farmer of Turf Life, Inc.   "There are nearly 50 million acres of grass in the U.S. and we need to start recognizing the men and women in this industry and the amazing work they do to sustain it. The Servin' Turf Award is a way to shine the spotlight on their achievements."

Nominations for the Servin' Turf Award can be made via e-mail to t.purdum@yahoo.com or by calling Terrie Purdum at (321) 765-4215.
