Golf Life TV Show Full of Praise for Award-Winning High Heat Family of Metalwoods

(BONITA, CA) – Another notable member of the media has joined a growing list of believers in Knuth Golf’s award-winning family of High Heat metalwoods.

Michael Billingsley, host and producer of the long-running Golf Life TV show on Fox Sports, recently raved on air about his complete set of High Heat metalwoods.

“With its titanium faces, High Heat’s metal woods are the best clubs I have ever tested or reviewed in my 25 years of the show,” said Billingsley, whose show has won numerous awards. “They are my favorite clubs in my bag and have reduced my scores.”

During the feature, Billingsley touched on all the technology that separates High Heat from the competition. Designer Dean Knuth created High Heat for amateur golfers, who have swings and performance needs that are different than those of professionals.

“This is all about the technology,” said Billingsley. “Titanium faces on the fairways woods and hybrids – no one else has that.”

Billingsley also touched on the center of gravity, which is 25% deeper and 18% lower than that of the major brands, making High Heat clubs easier to hit while providing greater spring-like effect for more distance.

“I played a full set of clubs from a standard manufacture and played well. But I actually shot six strokes better a week later with High Heat, and it was really all about distance,” said Billingsley. “I was actually outdriving guys a lot bigger than me with better clubhead speed, and I was driving past them all day long, hitting fairways.”

That technology was born from Knuth’s love of amateur golf. He spent 16 years as Senior Director at the USGA, where he invented the Course Rating and Slope Systems. After retiring from the USGA he set out on his goal of creating golf clubs designed to enhance the performance of amateur golfers. Several years later, High Heat was born.

High Heat is the only brand that offers titanium faces in its fairway woods and hybrids. This not only provides additional distance on center hits but it enables golfers to perform much better on off-center hits, leading to more greens in regulation and lower scores. Major brands only offer steel faces in their fairway woods and hybrids, which have less spring-like trampoline effect on off-center hits, often the main reason shots fall short of the green.

“What Dean wanted to do was push the limits of technology – get you Titanium faces; get you a club that you’re going to be able to outperform your competitors,” said Billingsley.

At KnuthGolf.com, an online fitting is conducted to properly address the loft for the driver and which weight and flex is needed for the club shaft for any High Heat fairway wood or hybrid they purchase. Further, Knuth Golf is so sure that its High Heat clubs will significantly improve an amateur’s performance that it provides a 30-day full refund guarantee.

“If you get a money-back guarantee and you can get golf clubs that you’re going to improve that much, why wouldn’t you try it?” said Billingsley.
